ABOUT THE FARM

Small Market Garden

Winter Park Urban Farm is a tiny, backyard market garden in Orlando, FL. We grow vegetables and microgreens that are offered through a CSA and farmer’s markets.

Sustainable

At our farm, we use regenerative farming practices that are sustainable and better for the environment. We focus on soil health and never use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

Local Food Provider

Orlando needs more local food. There is a shortage of local farmers and we need more to create a more sustainable food system. We are proud to be a local food producer for our community!

FARM YOUR YARD

Interested in having a farm in your backyard? Find out more below

As Winter Park Urban Farm grows, we are looking to take on more land to expand the farm. If you’re located in or near Winter Park and want an organic micro farm in your yard or land then we’d love to work with you. The ideal spot is one that is located near our other farm plots (1650 Pine Ave, Winter Park, FL, 32789), is easily accessible, gets a lot of sun, has access to irrigation (well or outdoor spigot), and hasn’t been treated with pesticides/herbicides. The minimum plot size we are looking for is 2400 sqft.

In exchange for using your land, you’ll receive a free small CSA share each week (equal to $600/year). If this seems like something you’d be interested in please fill out the form below or call 407-637-9557. After submitting the form, we’ll get back to you within 48 hours and setup a time to come check out your property.

FARMING METHODS

Regenerative Farming

We are a holistic, ecological farm that focuses on regenerating soil health. Our belief is that if the soil is healthy, then our plants will be healthy and produce better tasting vegetables. Working with nature is our goal and we try to create beneficial ecosystems on the farm that are more sustainable and better for the environment.

No-Till

A huge part of regenerative farming is keeping the soil structure intact to help increase biodiversity in the soil. Once the soil is disturbed, it messes with the ecosystem of the soil food web that we are trying to promote. To minimize soil disturbance and reduce our carbon footprint, we avoid tillage as much as possible. We do not use a tractor and are primarily human powered.

No Synthetic Chemicals

At our farm, we never use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. These can have adverse effects on the environment, the ecosystem of the farm, and our health so we avoid them at all costs. Promoting beneficial ecosystems on the farm is a much more holistic way to increase fertility and decrease pests.
